Thanks for the advice. It works! Now I can default to view more topics at a time.

I had a few requests to make the message board automatically show messages from the last year as opposed to the last month. There's no option for that but, when you're logged in, if you go to My Profile and then edit the profile, there is a dropdown to change your default view. Then you'll always see that many messages instead of having to change the view everytime you come in.
If this doesn't work for some reason for anyone, let me know.
Off to the library!

I'm new here and saw that you were giving profile setting advice. Can you please tell me how to change my login password form the default that was mailed to me? I've looked all over and can't find that setting.
Also, you mention heading to the libary above. I just gotta ask, are you a librarian? I only ask because I'm a librarian and am always looking to meet rock n' roll librarians - especially drummers.
Thanks much and I hope this wasn't a bother.
(I normally wouldn't have posted this publicly, but I saw no way to PM you.)
Cheers,
Kay
Hey, bc and welcome to the board. To change your password, unless the system changed recently, log in and go to "my profile" near the top right corner of the page in the funky box. On the next wonderfully sometimes confusing page, click View/Edit My Profile (on the left near the top). There will be a spot for password on that page, just put in the one you want and go to the bottom and submit it. If that doesn't work let me know and I'll go through it when I have more time tomorrow night.
When I wrote that first post I was still in college so I was most likely off to do a wide variety of papers at the Uni library. Now I spend most of my time designing ads and web pages and have far too little time to get back to a library. But now you've got me in the mood so I have to go...the new Janet Evanovich book is out now anyway!
I fixed my PM thing so it should accept them now.

Thanks Chrys. I got my password sorted.
Congrats on graduating and getting a real job. I have a year left on my master's then hopefully a real job, rather than library monkey.
